The Orchidaceae are a diverse and widespread family of flowering plants, with blooms that are often colourful and fragrant, commonly known as the orchid family. Along with the Asteraceae, they are one of the two largest families of flowering plants. Orchidaceae have about 28,000 currently accepted species.

I have had a successful career as a Professional Commercial Photographer for 38 years and recently retired to move closer to my family in North Carolina. Over the years I photographed many different types of products for advertising. In addition I photographed models for 3 major catalog companies. I studied art in college graduating with a BFA degree in Communications Art & Design. Throughout my career art directors appreciated working with me because of my keen eye for design and arrangement.
